Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how MetaGen Pro ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards information when you use our website, dashboard, and services — including AI metadata generation, batch processing (up to 100 files), JPG/PNG/SVG metadata auto‑embedding, EPS metadata generation, CSV/Excel export, SEO analytics, drag‑and‑drop keyword reordering, and copyright/trademark checks. By using the Service you agree to this Policy.

2. Information We Collect

Account data: email address and authentication credentials managed by our backend provider. Usage data: number of generations, plan tier, timestamps, and feature usage required for fair‑use limits. Content you submit: URLs, text, images (JPG/PNG/SVG) and vector files (EPS) you upload or paste for processing. Billing data: subscription status and billing identifiers returned by our payment processor (Paddle); we never store full card numbers. Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information, and basic analytics necessary to operate and secure the Service.

3. How We Use Your Information

To deliver requested features (generate metadata, embed metadata into files, export CSV/Excel, run SEO analytics, perform copyright/trademark checks). To enforce plan limits and prevent abuse. To process payments through Paddle. To provide customer support within our stated 24‑hour response time. To improve reliability, security, and product quality. We do not sell your personal information.

4. AI Processing of Submitted Content

When you submit a URL, text, image, or EPS file, the relevant content (or text extracted from it) is sent to third‑party AI providers via the Lovable AI Gateway solely to generate the requested output. Providers process this content under their own terms and do not receive your account identity. We do not use your submissions to train AI models. Generated outputs are returned to you and stored against your account so you can access them in History.

5. File Uploads, Embedding, and Storage

Files you upload for metadata auto‑embedding (JPG/PNG/SVG) or EPS metadata generation are processed to produce a new file or text payload that is returned to you. We retain the generated metadata record (titles, descriptions, keywords) tied to your account; we do not retain your original raw image or EPS binaries longer than needed to fulfil the request.

6. Cookies and Local Storage

We use essential cookies and browser local storage to keep you signed in, remember preferences (e.g. theme), and operate the dashboard. We do not run advertising trackers — paid plans are explicitly ad‑free.

7. Sharing of Information

We share data only with: (a) infrastructure and database providers that host the Service, (b) AI providers that process content to generate outputs, (c) Paddle, our merchant of record, for billing and tax compliance, and (d) authorities when required by law. All providers are bound by confidentiality and data‑protection obligations.

8. Data Retention

Account, usage, and generation history are retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter to comply with legal, accounting, and security obligations. You may request deletion of your account and associated history at any time by emailing metadatagenai@gmail.com.

9. Security

We use industry‑standard measures including encryption in transit (HTTPS), row‑level security on our database, scoped API credentials, and least‑privilege access. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; you use the Service at your own risk.

10. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (including the EEA, UK, and California), you may have the right to access, correct, export, restrict, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact metadatagenai@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days.

11. International Transfers

The Service is operated globally and your data may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

12. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced via the Service or email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
